Star Scholarship applications for the 2024-2025 academic year are being accepted through April 18, 2024.
Each Star Scholar receives up to $5,000 annually, and up to $20,000 lifetime, toward the total cost of attendance at an approved Washington college or university. But WWIN provides more than just financial aid: each woman becomes part of a supportive scholar and alumnae community, while also gaining access to a powerful network of professional women. Additional supports include resiliency grants to assist with unexpected financial roadblocks while in school and personalized coaching to support career launch and transitions.
We are delighted to introduce virtual office hours for applicants to receive information and guidance from our program staff. In accordance with our values, we aim to enhance access and equity in our application cycle and ensure each woman has the knowledge and assistance she may need to complete her application. Drop-in office hours are available on Thursdays from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
“I am always deeply impressed by the resiliency, agency, and often the sense of personal faith that I see in our Star Scholarship applicants. The women of WWIN frequently have nontraditional paths and have overcome real hardships in life. After several years, it is still deeply moving to read their stories. I hope every woman who sees herself in WWIN does apply, knowing that she will not be judged, but rather celebrated for her story.”
