You’re invited to come to Olympia with WWIN and higher education advocates who are part of the College Promise Coalition to show your support for protecting and expanding access to college and career pathways.
Washingtonians know that education beyond high school is critical for success in today’s economy. They also strongly support increased access to higher education programs—whether that’s two-year or four-year degrees, apprenticeships or certificates.
In the past few years, the College Promise Coalition (CPC) has made progress expanding financial support and pathways for students to pursue a credential. But with the state’s budget becoming more constricted this year, it’s important to protect the progress that’s been made and let legislators and other policymakers know that investing in higher education is crucial for Washington’s citizens.
WWIN is a proud member of the CPC and its broad coalition of advocates that include students, faculty, regents and trustees, alumni, and community leaders. On Thursday, January 30, we’ll meet with Olympia policymakers and talk about the importance of protecting and expanding access for students.
