It’s back-to-school time!

Sep 8, 2016

WWIN would like to extend very happy back-to-school wishes to our 115 education grantees who’ll be in college this fall! Our grantees are attending 25 colleges across the state of Washington during this upcoming academic year and are studying a wide range of subjects, including:

  • Accounting
  • Biology
  • Business
  • Dental Hygiene
  • Education
  • Human Services
  • Nursing
  • Nutrition
  • Political Science
  • Psychology
  • Web Development and IT

Through their studies and ultimately, their professions, our WWIN grant recipients hope to give back to their families and communities. In their own words:

“Education gives me the power to help other people.”

“My education is going to give my children opportunities I never had. It will allow me to give back to my community and continue to bridge barriers for those who are trying to make positive changes in their life.”

“My education will be a foundation for my family’s future.”

Congratulations again to our education grant recipients!

And if you are, or know of, a currently college-bound or -enrolled student who’s in need of financial assistance, the fall WWIN grant education cycle is open now through September 30. WWIN provides grants to determined women who are looking to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities for generations to come. This fall we’ll award approximately 60 education grants to women from across the state. Grantees will receive up to $5,000 over a one-year period to be used for tuition, mandatory fees, and required books and supplies.

Applicants must meet WWIN’s eligibility criteria to be considered. Prospective applicants should visit the WWIN website for additional information and to submit an application.
