We are thrilled to congratulate our graduating class of 77 Star Scholars in 2023!
Graduation represents the completion of a long-held goal and of countless hours of hard work, determination and persistence. A college degree is more than a milestone – it’s a monument to each woman’s strength and a beacon of hope to her family, friends and others who aspire to follow in her footsteps.
Among this year’s graduating Scholars were many nontraditional students and those from communities across Washington state:
- 26 was their average age, with a range between 20 and 46
- They attended 28 different colleges and universities statewide
Our Scholars are standout achievers, routinely outperforming college completion and persistence rates statewide – and their success continues in and beyond school:
- 3.67 was their average GPA
- 58% completed a major in a STEM field
- 79% are employed or plan to attend graduate school within the next 2 years
- 100% responded “yes” when asked if WWIN helped them feel supported, encouraged, and empowered

As each Star Scholar embarks on the next chapter of her own story, she brings with her the strength and self-determination that fueled her dream from the beginning – as well as enduring connections to the supportive network of women she has found in WWIN and with other Scholars.
