We are so grateful to the 118 volunteer application reviewers, including 32 WWIN alumnae, for helping us select the next cohort of Star Scholars out of the 345 applications we received this year.
Volunteer reviewers play an important role in identifying the individuals who truly exemplify the courage, resilience and self-determination of WWIN Star Scholars. Each reviewer takes part in a virtual training and reviews anonymous responses to our narrative application questions, scoring each applicant for alignment with WWIN’s vision, mission and values.
In the words of Taylor, a 2021 Star Scholar alum: “Grading these WWIN essays has been extremely fun, heartfelt and I absolutely love it. It takes me back to applying to the WWIN scholarship and seeing how far I have come with help from people like you! Giving back to WWIN is one of the best privileges.”
