A Fond Farewell to Monique, WWIN’s Operations and Special Events Director
After more than 11 years with WWIN, Monique Scher, Operations and Special Events Director, has decided to move on to new adventures. Transitions are always bittersweet and none more so than when saying goodbye to a passionately dedicated professional like Monique.
Monique has always been fiercely committed to WWIN’s mission and the women we serve. She brings a genuine warmth to everyone she encounters, including board, staff, donors, volunteers, and most of all, WWIN’s Star Scholars.
It would be impossible to list all of Monique’s contributions, but an abridged account reflects how she has touched every part of WWIN’s work and the hearts of so many.
Monique has managed our day-to-day finances and audit processes with integrity and care. She has attentively nurtured genuine relationships with longtime volunteers and hundreds of table captains through the years. Prior to the pandemic, she made sure that our special events – Inspiring Women and Sip for Stars – were memorable for supporters, meaningful for Scholars, stylish and fun.
This year she helped ensure our successful return to in-person events. She whole-heartedly believes in each and every woman we serve and cheers them lovingly on.
We are so grateful to Monique for all she has given to WWIN and wish her the very best in this next chapter.
