Power of Budgeting

Presented by Colleen Bracy

Power of Budgeting is a 60-minute interactive seminar where we will explore the power of budgeting, examine wants and needs, and talk personal spending and savings goals. Many think budgeting equals constraints. But a budget can put you in control. It is the foundation on which a strong financial strategy is built. Are you ready to give budgeting a try?

I was raised modestly in Seattle, the second oldest of four kids. I was always responsible, so when my mom put herself through nursing school, she put me in charge at home. Through her example, I learned it takes planning, dedication and hard work to achieve your goals.

In 16 years at Microsoft, I worked on many teams, but working in corporate finance opened doors to a whole new world where I discovered creating, executing and reviewing financial strategies can have lasting effects. This fueled a passion in me to pursue a career at Edward Jones so I could advise on financial matters – directly impacting individual clients and their families.

My passion is to advocate for women’s financial empowerment and help women develop financial strategies to improve the direction of their life. I value the opportunity to use all of my life experiences to help my clients not only reach their goals but become more confident in their ability to navigate their financial path.

Every client in my practice has a financial strategy that we review regularly and is customized to their unique situation. I have a disciplined investment approach with an emphasis on quality and a clear process to ensure that each client feels understood and in control of all aspects of their financial life.

A Little About Me – I enjoy traveling, hosting foreign exchange students, teaching my son, Liam, how to budget and pay for college, and hanging out with our adopted cats and dogs.
