Frequently Asked Questions for Providers

Would you like to become part of WWIN’s network of Coaches? Do you have questions about your WWIN client’s grant? Below are answers to frequently asked questions. If you need additional information, feel free to e-mail us at Programs@wwin.org.

What is WWIN?

Washington Women in Need (WWIN) is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to women from across the State of Washington to help them achieve a higher education and living wage career. We offer grant funding for coaching and counseling services through our Pathways to Success and Career Launch Programs and offer funding for tuition, books, and supplies for higher education through our Star Scholars Program.

What does economic stability mean?

WWIN believes that a woman has achieved economic stability when she can fully meet current financial obligations, feels secure in her financial future and is able to make choices that allow her to enjoy life.

A WWIN grant recipient approached me about providing services to her. What do I do now?

WWIN Coaching Grants are offered through two programs:

Pathways to Success

The Pathways to Success program provides a woman with the opportunity to gain a sense of who she is, to feel free to make choices and informed decisions about her life, to set ambitious goals for herself and take action on those goals. Women who participate in this program, with the support of a certified coach, will create a personalized roadmap to achieve economic stability.

Career Launch

Our Career Launch program provides an upcoming or recent college graduate with the opportunity to access vital career planning resources. With the support of a certified coach, she will gain necessary skills to navigate the workplace, such as preparing for an interview, negotiating her first salary and how to successfully launch her career.

WWIN grant recipients are welcome to choose a coach from our network, or work with an outside coach that meets our requirements.
