Philanthropy Northwest’s latest blog posts summarizes the 4/7 State of College Affordability event WWIN helped organize. We were glad to have been a part of the conversation (and to have Program Director Erika Orsulak quoted in the write-up!). So many of the under-funded and lower-income students discussed that day look to WWIN for assistance…Including over 500 women this past fiscal year. While we’re thrilled to have supported 100 of those women, plenty of qualified applicants were turned away – and according to event speakers, those women don’t have many other options for making their college experience more affordable. Perhaps the Philanthropy Northwest event will be catalytic, sparking greater and more strategic investment from the foundation community in higher education access in our state and beyond! https://philanthropynw.org/news/college-affordability-how-can-philanthropy-help
